Register of Deeds COVID-19 Notice**Effective December 1, 2020** THE GREENWOOD COUNTY COURTHOUSE IS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. OUR OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED FOR LUNCH FROM 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM DAILY, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. PLEASE CALL TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO RESEARCH AND FOR RECORDING. We are able to assist you by phone, email and drop box for business with our office. CALL (620) 583-8162 OR EMAIL OUR OFFICE WITH ANY QUESTIONS. There is a drop-box on the west side of the courthouse where documents can be dropped off. We ask that items be placed in a sealed envelope. Register of DeedsThe Register of Deeds Office is responsible for recording and maintaining all transactions affecting real estate in Greenwood County. This includes but is not limited to; deeds, mortgages, oil and gas leases, and plats. We also file financing statements, tax liens, power of attorney, death certificates and military discharges.
