Register of Deeds COVID-19 Notice

**Effective March 20, 2020**
THE GREENWOOD COUNTY COURTHOUSE IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.   PLEASE CALL (620) 583-8162 OR EMAIL OUR OFFICE WITH ANY QUESTIONS.  Please see below for more information regarding what we can do to help you by phone or email and for information on E-Recording.

There is a drop-box on the west side of the courthouse where documents can be dropped off.  We ask that items be placed in a sealed envelope.  Please note the time of drop-off on the envelope and call our office to let us know it is there!

Register of Deeds

The Register of Deeds Office is responsible for recording and maintaining all transactions affecting real estate in Greenwood County. This includes but is not limited to; deeds, mortgages, oil and gas leases, and plats. We also file financing statements, tax liens, power of attorney, death certificates and military discharges.
