Due to recent court rulings, if you have applied to register to vote at a Kansas Division of Motor Vehicles office or if you have applied to register to vote using the "Federal Form" voter registration application (as opposed to the standard 'state form') and have not yet provided proof of citizenship, you are registered to vote unless you receive official notice stating otherwise. Your name will appear on the poll book for your voting location and you will be given a standard ballot. There is nothing further you need to provide unless and until you receive further notice. Primary Election Greenwood County will not have a Primary Election in 2021. All names will be on the November Ballot. Notice of Places and Dates of Registration In compliance with the provision of K.S.A. 1982 Supp. 25-2311 notice is hear by given that the books for registration of voters will be open at the following places; City clerk's office, Health Department, Motor Vehicle Department and County Clerk's office during regular business hours.
In compliance with the provision of K.S.A 25-2310,25-2311, notice is hear by given that in preparations for the Federal/State general election to be held November 2nd, 2021 the books for registration of voters will be open until 5:00 P.M. on the 12th day of October, 2021. The books for registration of voters in Greenwood County will close and remain closed until the 3rd day of November, 2021. A citizen of the United States who is eighteen (18) years of age or older, at the next election, must register before he/she can vote. Registration closes twenty-one (21) prior to every election. When a voter has been registered according to law, the voter shall remain register until said voter changes name by marriage, receives a felony conviction, is deemed mentally incompetent or if a voter fails to respond to a confirmation notice followed by failure to vote in the next two consecutive state elections. Voter may register in person, by mail or other delivery when registration is open. Voter may also register on Election Day. Application forms shall be provided by the County Election Officer or Secretary of State upon request. Such application shall be signed by the applicant under penalty of perjury. Applications may also be filled out and signed at the County Clerk's office, 311 N. Main in Eureka. Early voting will begin October 18th, 2021 and continue until noon on November 1st, 2021 at the Greenwood Count Clerk's office. Main in Eureka, KS.
